Drill is a Man's Romance!

Hey guys~! I'm back! This time, I'm not gonna post a meme ( Since my teacher was practically begging for me not to strain her eyes with my memes anymore, I'm so sorry Miss!!! T_T) Now, I'm gonna fulfill my promise to write about what Konata-san ( She is eating a choco cornet beside this paragraph, and she's from the anime 'Lucky Star', by the way ) said in my last post.

"Drill is a man's romance!"

So in one episode, she was having a conversation about going to the dentist with her friends. Since Konata-san has never visited a dentist before in her life ( Konata-san is seventeen years old... And yes, I was also taken aback by this ) and is also an avid otaku like me ( Otaku is an anime and manga maniac ), she pictured the description of a dentist's office in an extraordinary way. In something only thinkable by otakus.

Miyuki ( A NORMAL friend of hers ): There's that hospital smell or the nerve-wracking wait.
Tsukasa ( Another NORMAL friend of hers ) : Ooh! Ooh! And the sound of the drill gets me every time!
Konata: ( Imagines a giant robot wearing a dentist robe with drills as arms... ) Change getter! ( It's an anime reference)


Tsukasa: It's terrifying!
Konata: But guys probably like to go to the dentist's, right?
Tsukasa: Why?
Konata: Aren't drills like a man's romance? ( Another footage of the robot, drilling another robot ) Dinosaur empire! ( Gets excited) I've heard they love it when robots fight using drills!
( Silence ensues. Miscommunication has apparently been done)
Tsukasa: But they probably don't like having their teeth drilled. I've been wondering, aren't the receptionists and assistants usually pretty ladies?
Miyuki: Now that you mention it, it seems that way...
Konata: Wonder why...
Miyuki: Perhaps it's one of their hiring criteria.
Konata: Exclusively beautiful assistants and drills huh? ( And she starts to picture everything together...)

Then the dentist robot appeared out of nowhere, flashing its grinding drills. A cute and lovely nurse is next, giving a flirtatious wink to the audience with a giant syringe in her hands ( OH boy... ), and a giant airship that you only see in sci-fi movies appeared in the background.




Miyuki: That does indeed sound like something geared towards the males.

I can't help but notice that action movies have those three main elements in them. The first one is a protagonist with a cool weapon ( Thor has his all-mighty hammer Mjollnir, and Green Lantern has a ring. ),the second one is the hot chicks ( Every generation of Bond girls , and let's not forget the voluptuous Megan Fox in 'Transformers'), and the last one the out of this world concepts with a predictable happy ending ( Oh My God! I'm a superhero or an one-eyed mutant! I can't believe it! I have to save the whole world! And I saved it! Yay! ). But I wonder why guys love action movies so much ( drills -- or violence, is man's romance after all! ). I mean, I understand about the gorgeous vixens ( They grant the male audience a certain type of... Pleasure ) and the story line stuff ( Because if guys tear up watching action movies, they'll be considered weaklings. And boys generally are easy at tearing up.), but what's so pleasurable about the violence part? Yes, I'm a girl and I know it's not my place to ask this but I'm pretty curious about this. I don't feel any kind of joy at all when I watch a random guy punches another random guy's jaw. And I am also a self-proclaimed and widely-acknowledged tomboy, since I'm pretty sure I am born half-man. So, any guys who care to answer this for me?

- I'm an Otaku ( A modern J-culutre maniac), a sensitive person ( I'm good at perceiving lies. VERY good at it), and that I'm not just another random person in everybody's life~!

- No. Not interested in having my face smacked.

I'm Entering a Manga School~!

Hey guys~! Finally, the Blogger's back! I miss you all and I tried to write something, but since my brother Reinhart always steal the modem from my hands, I couldn't update at all. Now he's in his piano tuition, and that means two hours of freedom start!

So yesterday, I applied for a Manga drawing course. For those people who don't know what the heck is manga, you should check out the picture right beside of this paragraph.
Yes, those Japanese comics are what we call manga! So, I'm gonna start next month, in October! I can't wait for the course!

It's October next month, huh? I have thought of cosplaying as many characters for Halloween, and I have decided on one character this year. But my school board seems unsure if there's going to be another Halloween celebration this year. Oh noes, to finish a costume will take a month, and now I'm running out of time... Hmmm... Should I still request for the sewing of the costume? It's quite a big risk since cosplay costumes are pricey... Hmmm, what should I do...

The girl at the upper left of this post? Oh, meet Yuno! She's from the manga "Hidamari Sketch". The manga is basically about her and fellow art student, the unique, glutton Miyako, and her art upperclassmen, the feminime Hiro and the cool Sae's who live together in an apartment called Hidamari. So, I'm back~. I couldn't update yesterday because the expiration date of my modem was apparently on the last Saturday, and since it's in the weekends, and my drivers had all gone home, and my father was such a lazybones... Yes, just sum everything up and you know why~!

So, it was a normal school day. Nothing unusual ( well, other than seeing my cousin throwing some kissy faces in a video shown in assembly time about a business seminar... ). But after I think about it, there were some things happening in school!

I was touched by my friend, Casey from Sec 4. I lost her USB ( I was supposed to fill the USB with a game called Osu!) and she was not mad at me at all! I apologized over and over again, bought her a new USB, and she was like "It's alright!" even thought the USB's her brother's... God, thanks for blessing me with kind friends. Another thing was that I kind of in the down state in my school... for a reason... And my friend Kelvin was asking me if something bothers me, but because Im worried he might find out why I kept mum in class, I kind of yelled "None of your business!" to him. To be honest, I kind of regretted doing so. I was touched by them being the best friends I can ever have. Oh, my dear friends~! What wonderful friendship~!

I had my first Chinese tutorial today. To be honest, it was kind of awkward since it felt awkward communicating with him in both English and Chinese.

I'm just a little itty bitty nervous about Thursday... The day when everybody will receive their report books and find out about their ( awesome or horrible) grades. I think I'll get a couple Bs ( Sec 3's lessons are the toughest...) and my mom will all be like " Seee, I told you you should study more!".... Why do teachers LOVE to give toms of homework????

I mean, sure, you think it'll help us improve our maths, science, english and other stuff, but spending almost a say in school and after school the rest of our time are all wasted on school-related stuff? I mean, there's studies proving students can be heavily stressed out because they have to deal with school for 24 hours. No teacher wants any of their students to commit suicide, right? Right? Because I'm in the verge of doing so.... Urgh... My spirit are all sucked out.... Gnrgh....

Just wanna update...

Ummm... I can't write so much today.It's almost 10 PM and the policy in my house is to go to sleep when it's 10 PM, and I still have some homework left... So I will make it up tomorrow... Somehow...

Hiya guys~! I'm back~! For today since I don't have a lot of time, I want to share a poem that I wrote by myself, basing on real experience. I am expressing myself in this poem... So, I'll just start.

RISKS

Do I have to cross the rickety bridge?
Knowing across is the happiness I seek
But lurking behind me, the shadows are swallowing me
And if the bridge burns down, I'll be washed away by the waves of regret

I know you've been acting tough, flashing your best smile
You would forgive me even if I do what you despise
But if by doing so, the golden joy will embrace me
You know you'll waste your tears for a worthless being like me

I can't
I just can't
Even if I know that my life will be complete once I did it,
But I can't live my life, feeling guilty for my own friend

Should I sacrifice myself, and feel emptiness once again?
Instead of my dreams surrounding me, holding me tight

That's it. The background for this poem is about this friend of mine that doesn't want me to do something. If I do it though, I'll feel extremely joyful but my friend will be extremely hurt. It's not something terrible, but it'll hurt the person a lot. The person acted strong and supportive and told me it's alright if I did it, but I just can't, since the person is my own best friend. And I really want it. I've sacrificed my happiness over and over again and I have to admit, I want this thing BADLY. I don't know what to do anymore....

"Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" or "When Cicadas Cry" is a Japanese PC horror visual novel series that inspired four seasons of anime ( 'Higurashi no Naku Koro ni', 'Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai', 'Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei', and 'Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira'-- Kira is being aired now, commemorating the tenth anniversary of the series ), mangas, light novels, and video games for consoles Nintendo DS and Playstation 2 ( Titled ' Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Matsuri', containing the original arcs and bonus arcs in a new art style, and 'Higurashi no naku Koro ni Jan', which is a mahjong game following the storyline of the original visual novel ) and was created by Ryukishi 07 under the company o7th Expansion.

This is Maebara Keiichi, a high school student from the big city that just moved to the remote village Hinamizawa. He quickly encounters friends in the village, and they seem to be enjoying themselves so happily.

Until murders occur.

There's a legend called ' The Curse of Oyashiro-sama'. Basically, Oyashiro-sama is a deity worshipped in Hinamizawa. A god. Every year, on the day of Watanagashi festival ( The festival when a shrine maiden does the ritual of cutting futon so that cotton would pour out, and the villagers will take some cotton and float them in the river to soak bad things away from them ), a person will die and another person will go missing. The people who are cursed every year are commonly associated with defying Oyashiro-sama, angering him and leading him to curse them.
The year when Keiichi moved to Hinamizawa ( 1983 ), the curse occurred and after the death cause by the curse, various main characters of the show will slowly be paranoid and kill others when they have reached the limit. This will be repeated in arcs but different events will happen in the different arcs ( Arc 1 has A as the insane person. Arc 2 has B as the insane person). I have to warn you this show's content is only for mature audience ( even though I completely violated it myself...) and don't watch it if you can't stand gore.

If I can have a sweat drop icon like you usually see in Japanese animes, I'm having it right now.


Why? Ummm... It's because I am super baffled about what I will face in the next week of school. Which is tomorrow ( It's Sunday today, so yeah. ). I skipped school for a week since I was having my holiday sightseeing in Japan ( which was awesome by the way ), and I missed four tests and tons of homework. Another problem is that I can't figure out the homework, so my hope of surviving tomorrow is depending on how merciful the teachers will be. At least I finished doing my homework holiday. That's a relief :-). I had a week of school holiday because there was the Lebaran holidays, but the tour was for eleven days, and my parents extended my already over-extended holiday with three days in Jakarta. So... God please give me one more day to live....

By the way, today is the tenth year anniversary of the 9/11 incident. I have to admit that was one god-awful incident. I heard the powerful terrorist network Al-Qaeda was the mastermind of the incident. Urgh, why on earth would they do this to innocent citizens? I know they want to convert Muslim countries to TOTAL Muslim countries, but erasing lives of thousands of innocent people away? Well, if they want to join the CIA or FBI I'm sure their power would be in good use.
I mean criminals would shudder every time they're notified they're going to have a suicide bomber between their midst.

People deserve to live! They deserve to earn the right of obtaining a happy life! If they are innocent souls, they MUST earn that right! I know ALL of us have sins, but those not inflicting severe pain in this world can be forgiven! If only the members of Al-Qaeda know the tale of Rika Furude ( from the visual novel Higurashi no Naku Koro ni or When the Cicadas Cry ) , a 10 year-old girl who struggled to achieve a happy world. She died a horrible death, ripped out from the inside of her stomach again and again for thousands of years to overcome the seemingly undefeated fate of being killed again and again. This tells me that just to live is not something everybody is gifted with! All lives are precious!

Everyone has a right to pursue a happy life.
The difficult part is to be given that right.

This poem is the lamentations of Rika Furude, who's disemboweled again and again by an unknown culprit for thousands of years and restarts her life by entering blank pieces of fragments of worlds. She has never grown past ten-years old. Since the age of her is never confirmed by the author of the visual novel, she might even be younger than 10! Believe me, she's THAT young!

I'm going to wrap this post to write about the visual novel series' Higurashi no naku Koro ni' or 'When Cicadas Cry'. An epic tale that is necessary to be shared to all of you!

First Entry!

Hey everybody! I'm Otakucyn, a girl that is often mistaken as a complete geek, but turns out as a total computer noob! So, I'll write things, and I'll try to make it daily ( If I'm not too busy with school though. ). I'm a total lazybones so please forgive my impertinence~!
